After celebrating a powerful one-year milestone, The Urban Exchange returns on Saturday, 05 July 2025, continuing its mission to spotlight the raw essence of Hip Hop and elevate local voices that echo far beyond Gqeberha. Hosted at The One Room Music & Comedy Club, this monthly gathering has grown into one of the most authentic platforms in the Eastern Cape—a place where artistic freedom, community, and culture intersect.

If you’ve ever been to The One Room, you know it’s more than just a venue. It’s a creative sanctuary. It’s where poetry breathes, lyrics bleed, and the underground finds light. From “Back To The Cypher” to the Urban Exchange itself, this space continues to be a haven for those unafraid to speak their truth.

This upcoming edition features a bold lineup of storytellers, poets, and lyrical assassins who are redefining what it means to create from the margins:

🎤 FourLeafClover – A multi-dimensional artist whose genre-defying flow and poetic vision set him apart. He doesn’t just rap—he paints ideas that sit with you long after the music fades.

🎙 British D – Fierce and unapologetic, British D delivers every bar like a mission statement. His voice is sharp, his content rich, and his presence undeniable.

🧠 VJ Nakasa – Known offstage as Viwe Joka, VJ brings a cerebral edge to the mic. Expect bars that reflect consciousness, critique, and cultural introspection.

🔥 Yahav Ben Sar Ahmadiel – A seasoned voice in the movement and a big brother figure in the space. Yahav’s delivery carries depth, weight, and street wisdom wrapped in smooth cadence.
