Cape Town’s streets have a new soundtrack, and all streams lead to one place: Pakamiza. Die Twaalf and Queenpin CPT have teamed up to drop a cinematic, hard-hitting collaboration that’s already got the streets buzzing. Backed by slick visuals, sharp editing, and bars that cut deep, this one’s for the culture.
📞 From the cell to the harbour
The Pakamiza video opens with Die Twaalf in an orange prison suit, lying on a thin mattress and gripping his old Nokia 3310. Queenpin CPT calls him from her car, and the two seal the deal over the phone — a gritty opening scene that sets the tone perfectly.
From there, the video takes us to the harbour, where they finally meet face-to-face to make the transaction. The storyline feels authentic to the hustle, showing two artists who know what it means to grind and move in silence.
🎶 The hook and the heat
One of the reasons Pakamiza hits so hard is its catchy, repetitive chorus — the kind of hook you can’t help but chant along to. Die Twaalf comes through with standout lines that ooze confidence and loyalty:
“Al my dawgs is op my lease, die pad is glad soos Vaseline.”
That bar alone sums up his mindset: his circle is tight, his path is smooth, and no one can throw him off.
🎥 Editing on another level
The visuals, shot and edited by Geoff Hookins, take the storytelling up another notch. One of the slickest moments comes at the end of Twaalf’s verse when he starts counting — “1, 2, 3…” — and each number is matched by a figure popping up on screen, perfectly in sync. It’s little creative touches like that that show how much thought and craft went into the video.
👑 Enter the Queen
Then it’s Queenpin CPT’s turn to step up, and she absolutely owns her verse. With razor-sharp delivery and a no-nonsense attitude, she shows why she earns respect wherever she goes:
“Ek nie net mooi nie, eks moeilik om te match Ek staan op my eie, hulle deel van a batch Kyk hoe ons shine, sonder phone’s se flash Hulle praat van style, maar ek praat van cash As ons in step, vat die kroon, sonder stress Elke luin wat ons drop maak die kompetisie less Ouens in die straat wys die queen respect”
Queenpin brings confidence and independence, proving she’s more than just a feature — she’s a force.
🔥 Certified street anthem
With its gritty storyline, banging hook, creative visuals, and two of Cape Town’s finest in their element, Pakamiza is already a certified street anthem. This is real Cape Town Hip-Hop — no gimmicks, just talent and hustle on full display.
